I am looking for some recomendations for purchasing a new trailcam. I have had two different brands in the past. The first was a Bushnell which took such crappy pictures I returned it. My last one was an HCO Scoutguard which took great pics and had great battery life but apparently it sprouted wings and flew away. I would get another but I can't find one except through websites which may or may not be legit. I have seen some great pics from a Cuddeback but they get some really bad reviews on BPS and Cabela's sites. Also, I don't like the fact that on the new models you have to remove the camera from the tree to access the card in the back. I have read reviews until my eyes are crossed or like Herman Cain said, ' I got so much stuff twirling around in my head'.
I would appreciate any feedback on which ones to get or which one to steer clear of. Some examples would be nice too! Thanksim000019compress_545.jpg

I have a couple of Primos Truth cam 46s and think they are great. I watch for them used on amazon or on sale somewhere. I don't think I've paid more than $100 for one. Think their retail is $150 or so.

Good luck!

I also would like to hear some reviews or learn of a source for such.
My main interest is silence and no visible flash, being that i`m trying to catch some vandals, not the normal wildgame. Thanks, Don.

Thanks for the replies. I've seen some pics that imbed the temperature and the moon phase at the bottom. Does the Primos or the Moultrie have this feature?

The primos truth cam does. Has moon phase, temp, time and date along the bottom.

After getting some more input I decided on the Moultrie M-100. Used it for the first time this past weekend and am pleased with the initial results. Look at the difference in picture quality between my Moultrie and my old HCO campict0063rd_174.jpgim000318rd_173.jpg
