We were covered up with toms this morning. Had 15 different birds gobbling at us but didnt close the deal cause i cant shoot ....Then got on another bird at 3 pm with no luck. Probably the best day I have ever had turkey hunting. Its my drug of choice, hope everyone had good luck today
Glad to hear you got out and had a great day! I spent the day planting at our place with my girls. Hope it makes for a great fall!!
I'm heading to the woods next weekend though to see if my oldest or I can drop one or two.

I walked out on the front porch this morning about 6:45 to smoke and sip on my coffee, just for fun took my box call and hit it a few times. had at least four gobblers answer me back from 3 directions. I kept at it for bout 5 min and seven came across from the back of the wheat field and got within 150 yards or less. Looked at them through the binoculars and two of them had pretty good beards. After about 2 refills on my coffee they spotted me and retreated back towards the back of the wheat field. I have seen as many as thirty out in that field at once. They are getting plentiful. Maybe I will get lucky enough to get close enough an get some pics of them to post up.

Forgot to tell ya'll we had 3 toms standing side by side gobbling this morning it was friggin awsome...
Can't wait to get out there. Plan is to hunt every morning this week.
