Coyote with mange
Looks like a yote to me rather rough looking one but the ears and nose sort of give it away... not 100% sure but that's where id put my money they are taking over everywhere ive seen them here in Brunswick county with my own eyes.
I would say a Hybrid between a coyote and domesticated dog.
If you look it's tail is not bushy enough, and it's way to tall to be a coyote. I have shot a ton of yote's up here in Iredell county and have never seen one that tall.
Or possable a Red Wolf I have seen one here one time I thought it was someones pet it was so big.
What ever it is Shoot it!!!!!!!!!
It's a Manbearpig
Doberman pincher?
I do a little coyte calling. It looks like a coyte that is a little skinny to me . Get a electric call from a sporting goods store. Call that thing in and get him out of your way !!!!!
What you have right there is the werewolf from Harry Potter - Prisoner of Azkaban. I believe his name is Remus. My wife was really excited when she saw that pic.

Rabbit call and right wind and its all over.
coyote
Coyote is my call. I too live in Pender across the highway from Holly Shelter. It is wrapped up with yotes. I lease over 20,000 acres bordering Pungo NWR in Tyrell and Washington Counties and all the documented red wolves live in this area. I have several trail cam pics of red wolves.
Remember it is the heat so the summer and they are slicked off. Coyotes do typically look to have shorter legs but they also typically have 3-5" of hair on their bellies.
Pretty certain its a Skunk Ape.
