Ive been hunting Jordan and Falls, which is really a waste of time but fun to get out of the house. Hunted yesterday on the pasquotank and had limit of buffleheads by 10am. Saw a few puddle ducks and swan but they were uninterested. Had friends that hunted Currituck yesterday and only shot 1 mallard. Wind was rough on them.

Plenty of divers around but the bluebird days have made it tough to get m to decoy. Days that the clouds and wind were up it has been good. Puddle ducks for me have been tuff since the second split started. We were waxing them in Currituck in November and total opposite now. Puddlers that are here are educated and I believe most have gone by or holding north of us. Filling freezer with venison today and tomorrow then back at the ducks and bluefin

Hunted the Spring Creek Impoundment in Goose Creek on Saturday. Seemed like the cold snap pushed a bunch more birds to the area. Probably saw around 150 total ducks of all species but most were not interested in the impoundment. Ended up with 2 widgeon 1 GW Teal and a pond inspector.

Going to J. Morgan Futch on MLK Day.
