I thought the blue runners in had caught before were more colorful but the pic is dead on. We caught a bunch of them that day. Are they good to eat? Thanks for all the info guys.

I ate one...one time. It was my last time. To me they are about like a reef donkey but without the worms. Some people like them but i think its one of those fish that you really have to take care of and then prep/cook right. There are much better fish to eat so any caught on my boat gets to live or is made bait.

I've eaten one that was about 5 lbs or so. It was edible. If it was the only thing I had in the box at the end of the day, I'd keep it and eat it. There's better stuff, but it's by all means passable if grilled up and the dark meat removed.
