Is anyone using a Flir system? Looking at the m332 but would like to talk to someone who has experience using it. I run offshore in the dark and my guys are getting tired of holding a spotlight when it’s cold.
I have a FLIR, send me a PM with your number and we can discuss. Not a huge fan as it is not too useful in my opinion on plane.
I recently purchased the Syonix hand held, attached it to a sea sucker and ties wireless to a tablet. No MFD connection. but is low cost.
Does a much better job in my opinion for running on plane in the dark.
Long thread about it on THT - https://www.thehulltruth.com/boating-forum/1058864-sionyx-aurora-sport-night-vision-camera-anybody-have-one.html

Nothing came in, sent you one back
I have the same setup as "aftergolf".
Sionyx using wifi to a Tablet all secured with Ram Mounts.
If you go with FLIR, for a low cost model choose the MD 625 which has 4 times the resolution of the M332 I believe. I had it on my old boat and felt it was functional.
I personally went with Nite Track Marine for my new boat and like the resolution which is much much greater than the MD 625. It is for low light situations and is not useful in Pitch Blackness since it is not an infrared camera. My biggest complaint is that the Field of Vision is much narrower than the FLIR.
My next boat is likely to have Nite Track Marine over FLIR MD 625. But I am hoping there will be something better and not astronomical in cost.
Thanks for the call and info aftergolf. Just ordered the pro. What mounts do you guys use? Is there a specific model?
this is a camera mount. use the C-size 1.5" ball, then build it from there.

For the Sionyx I use the Sea Sucker with the flex stick mounted in front of my dash. Works well as I have a hard top and no rail to attach.
I also use the same for my tablet for display, Sea Sucker plus the flex stick. So far so good.
Others are using rail mount options.
Personally I would bypass the flir and pick up a good set of NVG’s
