I just turned thirty so for celebration myself and a couple friends are heading to Beaufort. NC for some offshore jigging.
Our targets will be big amberjack, African pompano, cobia, blackfin and whatever else comes along. After the bruisers beat us up, we'll fill up on some triggers to eat.
The date: either this Sunday, the 13th, or Monday, the 14th, depending on which day offers the best weather forecast.
It's a full day, so figure 12-14hrs on the boat with the ride to the Gulf Stream.
The cost: if we have five anglers it'll be 220 a person, plus tip. Figure about 260ish.
The boat: The Procastinator, with captain John. Search "Procastinator sportfishing" you'll find it.
Bring jigs in the 200-400g range.
