47yo losing fishing partners 1 by 1 (brother has a g'friend, buddy works weekends, bro n law lost to divorce, etc., etc.). Last 3 boats were 21' cc, 23' w/a, and current boat is 28'cc (single power w/ kicker). I fish regularly out to 25 miles but have never been farther (stream) on my own boat.
I would love to go with some that have offshore experience and share expenses and learn. I've been catching kings, dolphin, amberjacks, cuda's, cobia, sharks, etc. I've owned my 28'er for 3 yrs now and am ready to venture farther but would rather go with people that do it regularly a few times first. Hopefully this will lead to new like minded friends, buddy boating, learning, and good times.
If you are going way out for wahoo, sails, whites, and maybe some bottom fish and would like to share expenses, let me observe, and boss somebdy around then I would love to go with you.
I have a house in Surf City (Topsail Island) so I would likely go down the night before and preferably you won't be too far away.
fyi- I am baypro21 on The Hull Truth. When I joined here I had sold my 21' SeaPro bay model cc and had a Bayliner/Trophy 23' w/a (baytro23). If these sites would allow handle changing I guess I would become MM28 (current boat Master Marine 28)
You're welcome to come with me this weekend if you're up for overnighters. http://fryingpantower.com/ftopict-32051.html. Otherwise I'll give you a shout next time I'm heading out light on crew. Fish out of North Topsail/New River Inlet
Thank you very much for the offer. That's a little longer than I want to stay out. If you have room again on a slightly shorter trip I'll probably be able to make it.
PM sent
And I have been looking for longer trip
