Well Im stumped :\ Ive been seeing more and more "potholes" from black drum around and can hear the big ones drumming around the bridges at night. I tried night fishing with clams this week around the bridges and where I've seen their holes with no luck. Used to do real well on em by the bridges. Anyone have any insight into this problem of mine?
My guess (and it's purely a guess) is that you're not there at the right tide. Never considered black drum to be too picky about bait but maybe try fiddlers or a quarter blue crab. I've had luck at the 172 bridge in Sneads Ferry on a rising tide and crabs in the past. Good luck!
thanks. might have to try that.
just realized i posted this in fishing friends instead of inshore. whoops
