I wanted to reach out and see if anyone is looking for buddy boats and wants to add another to their list! I just repowered the family boat earlier this year, rewired everything, new vhf, fuse panel, chartplotter, bilge & float, etc. I am in a 20ft whaler so anytime it is flat enough and the weather looks good I will head out (Thankful for a really flexible work schedule), but refuse to go further than 23 mile rock without a buddy boat. Have all the safety equipment, PLB, etc. Newer to the offshore scene the past couple of years, but have learned a ton from a buddy of mine who used to be a mate out of CB. Really looking for some offshore buddies since this whole COVID thing has put a damper on seminars & club meetings where I would ideally like to meet some local people.
Shameless plug as well. If anyone needs an extra hand heading offshore, to the stream, etc, let me know (the 20ft whaler can make it fine, but a 20 footer is not meant to go to the stream). More than happy to come along, help with gas, provide the gear, food, drinks, and help with whatever I can.
