Hey folks. Here is my situation. I will try to give as much information as possible so you can decide if you are interested.

I am 58 and live in Edenton. I fish mostly out of Oregon Inlet or Hatteras.
This year, I have decided to figure out the deep dropping thing for swords and other bottom critters. I am also completely set up and experienced with the trolling routine, but will mostly stick to the deep dropping for a change of pace. I have been fishing for 56 years and was a part time commercial fisherman for 10, so I am pretty experienced on the water.

The boat is a 25 hydra sports vector walk around. Older boat that I re-powered with Suzuki DF 140's. Cruise from 20 to 30 kts depending on conditions. This is not some wiz-bang new super boat with all the gadgets, but a good solid rig. I have a life raft and epirb, ditch bag with hand held VHF, etc.

Fishing schedule - I teach school, so I have a lot of time in the summer. Ideally, someone who has a flexible schedule would be perfect, but I understand that folks need a job! Other times of the year would be mostly weekends and vacation days.

In terms of personality - I am super laid back about all this. I used to be very intense about it but after all these years I've learned to just enjoy it. This means that I don't push the envelope like I used to . If the inlet looks crappy, I turn around and fish for flounder or trout. My politics tend to be libertarian/conservative but that means I like anyone who has their own beliefs.

If this sounds like it would work for you, email is the best way to reach me.

Thanks!
