Been moving around a bit for the last few years and have finally settled into a new house that I plan to stay in for a while. I'd like to start rebuilding a group of folks to fish with regularly. I need to start increasing my fishing days and it helps me to have some pursuasion from others to do so. I'm on Lockwood Folly and prefer to fish from this side of cape fear to little river. Have a flats boat currently, so my targets are primarily inshore/flats these days. Have experience and enjoy offshore too (still have all my offshore tackle). Love to find some fellow redfish/flounder seekers to join me (knowledge of waters on this side of cape fear would be a plus since Im somewhat new to the area). Also would like to find a few people in the area that could use a hand fishing offshore in the area. I usually work Mon-Thurs, but have some flexibility. Any interest?

Hello Ham,

Welcome to the area. Our place is at Holden Beach mainland and I usually go out of Lockwood Inlet. I don't get down too often but will give you a shout whenever I'm heading down.

Just so you know there is a Holden Beach Fishing group that all either live or have a place in the area. Just go to Google Groups and search for Holden Beach Fishing if you have any interest.

Private Message Allen a.k.a. joynerjeep on FPT. He fishes out of Holden and knows most of the inland and near shore waters around the area.

Edited: Had a brain fart. PM Derrick aka joynerjeep.

I have not tried Lockwood Inlet in over a year as my boat is at Ocean Isle Marina. How did Sandy impact it? Sandy was not nice to Shallotte Inlet.

It was not too bad. We just went out of it at Easter and had no trouble at all. Although I think they had just dredged.
