My girlfriend caught her first (& second & third) mahi w/ me last May & has been "bitten by the offshore bug"! She wants to go to the stream again on a weekday this month or early June w/ a couple of her friends, but they have room for a couple more- women only! Our target will be mahi, wahoo, tuna, barracuda, king mackerel, etc. Let me know if you'd like to go as a few other women have shown interest & we have to pick a date soon. My girlfriend joined in on a charter last May we had booked for a guy & his sons & had a great time, but wants to try an all-women trip this month if we can get 5 people total. Stew- it's her idea as she wants to go w/ a couple of her friends & don't want guys they don't know out there w/ them. We're trying for the last week of May or early/mid June (before the big mahi bite starts to slow down) if you know any women that might can go...
My wife has pretty much swore off the offshore fishing now... tho I still bring it up at least every other day while at the supper table.
My oldest boys wife fishes, and no stranger to the offshore stuff, but they live a little further south and inland from me. I would be surprised if she would want to make the trek... but if you see that you may be one short, I'll text my boy and see if his girl would want to go.
