I mover to Pinehurst area last year and for 20+ years have fished offshore out of San Diego on many (250+) long range trips and overnight and 3/4 day trips. Also had my own skiff for 10 years. I have my own gear, maintain my own gear, build my own lures, and some rods and reels. If you need someone to share costs, who is an experienced offshore hunter, and mellow personality let me know. I need to get back out there and get my own fresh sushi again. John

Hey John
I've Always wanted to try those week or longer out of San Diego.
The tuna season in SE nc /ne SC is a bit or miss proposition.
Best bet is Oregon Inlet all summer or Morehead City now.
I don't have a boat right now I'm looking at getting a Grady 24-26
In the next year. I might go for the cat one even though I know people say they stink but I had a cat before and you cannot beat them
For the trade offs. I would love to bring you along and try some west coast techniques (live baiting and chunking) along with some vertical
Jigging and see what happens. I'm always eager to learn techniques used in other areas.

Hi John, small world...we live in Pinehurst as well.

I'd like to hear from you. We fish out of Morehead (for more details, see new post above)

I have room Saturday out of Holden Beach if you're interested. Trolling the GS and stopping for some bottom fishing on the way back in. $30 towards ice and bait and an even split of fuel.
