I've served on the R4R Steering Committee for the past 9 years and we are excited about this year's tournament. This will be our 10th anniversary, and we have a lot of great things planned for tournament weekend. We are also hoping to eclipse the $3 million dollar amount raised for the N.C. Children's Hospital this year (our original goal was to raise $1M in 10 years!).
What may interest some folks on here is that we are introducing an inshore division this year. Cost to enter is $1K (just like the offshore division), and 100% of all entry fees go pediatric cancer research at the N.C. Children's Hospital. Inshore teams can consist of up to 4 anglers, and we will weigh flounder, drum (red or black), stripers, and bluefish (the trout closure is a bummer for sure!).
