Hey guys, my son and I passed a pawn shop here in Wilmington today and there was a burgandy crown vic with a bunch off offshore rods crammed in the back passing over to the front seat. Chrome low profile wheels, fat black guy in the passenger seat and a small white guy in the drivers seat with his hat on backwards. They looked to be about 19. I called the cops and turned around. when I got back they had left so I asked the pawn shop owner if those guys were selling rods. Yup $200 a piece for 10 Tiagra trolling rods. Owner said they looked fishy so he sent them packing. Cops showed up as I left and they have their picture on video and their license plate. Hopefully they will be picked up here in town before they get rid of them.

So if you just had some rods taken call the Wilmington PD and maybe we can get them back to their home in your boat.

Good eye Clacy. In situtatins like that I wish we could take the law into our own hands and give them what they deserve. A good ole a-- whooping!! We know they will only get a slap on the wrist when they deserve a much stiffer punishment Twisted

Great observation. I hope it leads to their arrest and the rods are returned.

They should let the owner take care of them.

Now that is profiling and profiling is wrong. Just kidding. That is what profiling is all about. You see someone who is doing something that just does not appear to be right in that situation. If people just knew how profiling helps stop a lot of crime then they wouldn't complain. Good job clacy.

"Profiling" by definition is "statistical proof"!

I would say that if one was to see "offshore rods crammed in the back passing over to the front seat. Chrome low profile wheels, fat black guy in the passenger seat and a small white guy in the drivers seat with his hat on backwards. They looked to be about 19." have decided to sell their offshore rods because they decided to quit fishing and needed the money for some new 24' rim. If I was a cop you can bet I would stop them and get some infor. I would bet 9 out of 10 the rods were stolen.
