MY MIND REALLY RACES WITH ANGER OF WHAT I WOULD DO IF I EVER CAUGHT SOMEONE RED HANDED STEALING FROM ME....
GOD WOULD NOT BE HAPPY WITH ME...
SORRY TO HEAR OF YOUR LOSSES...
So sorry to hear reports like this. Short of an armed drone, what is best alarm system to prevent and/or catch these guys red handed. I'm looking to upgrade my alarm system on my 25ft wa. that parks on its trailer. Hungry pit bulls with aids are out of the question...so Serious suggestions appreciated.
Even though I am dead tired after a long day of fishing, I never leave anything in my Tahoe or on my boat that can be stolen. Nothing worth wile anyways. If you want my net and life vests, then hey, whatever.
Hell, I had someone attempt to steal my 150 Suzuki, they butchered the harness and all, but the idiot did not have a deep socket to remove the lower 2 of the 4 mount bolts. it would take 4 guys to lift it!!! SMH......So, we know they are not professionals.
I really hate a thief.
Rodeo, where did this happen?
It happened in Wilmington, around the MJ area. About 40 ft from my bedroom window. $1,500.00 worth of damage.

Game cameras are pretty cheap in comparison to lost offshore gear. I'd have my stuff on camera all the time if I could afford nice stuff like you guys are mentioning. Game camera costs 1/10 what a nice 50 wide costs, much less a set of them. Mount camera (or camera"s") high in a tree near your boat with an unblocked vantage and keep the batteries hot. Seems like a lot to have to do until your stuff is in the breeze. Then it seems like pennies really.

The problem with game cameras is what's to keep the SOB's from stealing them? Even the infrared cameras have a red, visable flash.
My house was broken into last year while at work. It was off river road close to Carolina Beach. My TV, computer, jewelry, and 20hp outboard motor was stolen. I installed a 4 camera video surveillance system afterward. I mounted the receiver in a custom steel lock box in the attic bolted to the joists with sixteen 1/2" x 6" long lag bolts. Hope someone tries it again.
Bad part is about this deal is that it is March and the insurance still hasn't paid up. They offered to fix itwith some half rate electronics while our stuff was top of the line. Now I have hired a private adjuster. Once I get this deal worked out I will post names and the complete time line of events. I don't want anyone to ever have to do what I am going through with this insurance company. At this point I should have said screw the insurance and put that money aside and the boat would have been fixed months ago. I feel like they have done worse than the people who actually stole the stuff.
