I live in Long Leaf Acres neighborhood off Eastwood in Wilmington. Batteries from at least 4 boats on one street were stolen this past weekend including mine. Out buildings were searched also. Neighbors have all been warned and watching and some are now recording all activity on the street. Two of the neighbors are taking drastic action.

I'm one.

That's why I rescue Rotti's, best home protection there is. One of my girls can hear a truck coming down the road from a mile away. All you have to do is feed them.
My girls love a good criminal treat on occasion.

x2. Out of all the break-ins in my area and a couple in my subdivision no one has ever hit our house and I think it has everything to do with our dogs being around.

I saw about 5 police cars in front of a house on Split Rail on Wednesday, was that it? Do you have any more information?

I had a about 30 cans of spray paint in a see threw Rubbermaid bin just inside the door of my out building. I just found out its gone also. It makes me think they were young, if cans of spray paint was worth carrying out during the robbery.

Batteries go for $5.00 each at the recycle/salvage yards......regardless of condition.

That makes it even worse......knowing that you can spend $100 plus on a battery that a crackhead can steal and sell for $5.00!!

I cannot stand a dang theif!
