Someone got in to the cabin on the boat friday night I had it stored at coastal storage on hwy 9 in south Carolina they wiped me out. 5 Penn 30tw. 5 daiwa sealine x shv. Couple shimano speedmasters. Daiwa saltist reel. Sabik bait rod. All my king and bluewater lure everything I had gone. Had couple captains choice bottom fishing set up. Penn senator 4/0. This is just off top of my head trying to put a better list together soon. They got me just in time for fishing season. Looks like no fishing in 2012!

Really sorry to hear about that! Hope they catch the POS and you get your stuff back. You should be able to file a claim and get a lot of stuff back.

The ins part just sucks. The boat was in my dads name and he cancelled the insurance a couple months ago and was going to swap to another company and never did and the only reason the stuff was left in the boat was because we had ins on it so no worries if its stolen ins would replace it. Needless to say when I found out the ins was cancelled I wasn't happy. He always took care of the boat and I bought all the gear so im sol as far as an ins claim! Makes me sick thinking about it again ..

I know at the house the stuff is covered under my homeowners. Not sure if that can work with a storage yard.

Good luck,
Tim

You need to check your homeowners. I believe (but not 100% sure) that my property at another location is covered without a rider.
Just need to go down that path and see if there is anything there before throwing in the towel. Hopefully you have a local agent to you that you deal with that can help.
Again, sorry you had to go through this crap. I would be really pissed.

Look at your homeowners policy. If you have off premises theft you should be covered.

Just another reason not to go to pawn shops. When shopping there, you are just supporting your local thief. Very sorry to hear it happened to you.

I did not know that. Is that standard through out the state?

It is on HO-3 policies. My homeowners insurance covers my personal property at the beach. My company nonrenewed our beach house so I had to place it thru the beach plan and I didn't want to pay xtra for the contents down there since my house here covers it.
