Bay River area, someone in custody. I hope we get more details. I'm curious.
Love it when a plan comes together.
Man! I was just there last week. I hate to hear that. I am curious about the outcome myself.
According to the other post it was NOT at Anchorage but next door and that they do have some camera footage but are not able to make the person from the camera.
What other post? That photo sure looks like Anchorage Marina to me.
It's the place just next door ft Macon marina I think.
Boat was located in Vandemere and suspect has been arrested.

It was a post on a different forum.
The boat was located yesterday with help from someone that saw my post on another forum. The sheriff had the suspect in custody and they were talking to another person of interest. The suspect was trying to get a trailer in order to move the boat out of the water. He also had posted the boat online for sale(not sure where he did this. we heard this from the sheriff's office). The owner(I am not the owner) is picking the boat up today. No damage to the boat. The boat was stolen from the docks next to Anchorage Marina, not at Anchorage Marina. The confusion here was my fault. I posted the info that was provided at the time of the theft. I got that part wrong. I apologize for dragging AM name into this.
The suspect had the boat in a creek in Vandemere, NC. It was well hidden and probably would not have been found without a tip.
I wold want to have him in my custody!
Wow ... crazy story. So glad he got the boat back and the bad guys are going to be held accountable! That would have been heartbreaking to lose that boat after building it. Its one thing to lose a production boat that can be replaced but certainly a different thing to lose a one of a kind with your own blood sweat and tears in it!
You have to have exceptionally large balls to jack a boat with no means to get it out of the water. Or just stupid, or desperate. Glad it was recovered.

Or all of the above!
the thing drugs will make you do
Update on the guy that stole this boat. Michael Wayne Rowe is in jail on $75K bond now, but not for this boat. He got out on bond for stealing this boat and stole an Intruder. They put him in jail with a $5K bond which he posted. While out, he stole a Contender and put it in dry storage. He didn't pay the storage fees so they put a lock on the boat. They arrested him when he showed to cut the lock off the boat. He is now in jail with a $75K bond for the Contender. DA says he will probably accept a plea bargin in the next few weeks as they have also charged him with being a habitual felon.
Sounds like he needs lead.
