My buddy called this morning to tell me someone had stolen some of his fishing gear yesterday out of his storage room under his deck at Cherry Grove SC. Stolen was:
1 gold penn 50W with clear line
4 Penn 30W with Yellow hi vis line
3 Shimano 50 LRS with Yellow hi vis line
2 Shimano 25 LRS with green hi vis line
1 echo leaf blower
1 echo weed eater

All the reels were on rods but various makes and he didnt remember any details about the rids. A police report was made.. we will keep an eye on craigslist and pawnshops, etc.. If you run across any of this gear, please PM me with license plate, make model car, etc.. We will be glad to handle this ourselves. He wants the gear back but would really rather have a face to face with these pieces of sh*t...

I do all I can to help everyone I can.. Now I need some help.. My cell number is 910-640-7772.

Thanks!

Capt Jim

I had a guy that worked at a pawn shop for a good time. They wouldn't even buy things like this if someone came with that much stuff, they also have to hold it for a certain time frame after taking it in as well for things like this. Not saying all do that but hopefully they do. Good luck in getting it back. Nothing worse than someone that can't keep there hands off someone else's property

I can tell you right now from personal experience, pawn shop in Shallotte has bought stolen gear and removed drivers license form them, I know, they had 4 of my rod and reels in the back and they had removed my dl's from each of them, now that being said, it was 4 or 5 years ago and that manager has been replaced, but not at that time. Your stuff could be at a pawn shop near you and in the backroom.

After checking with all the pawn shops and police with nothing to show for it, a local pawn shop just listed one rod, blower and weed eater for sale on ebay. Reel was sold but my buddy will get the weedeater and blower back. They were pawned the day after they were stolen.. but the owner didn't know they were stolen... yea right!

Anyway, he is giving us the name and address of the people who pawned it.. gonna be an interesting weekend!! Cant wait till Friday to go pay them a visit!

Glad you are getting something back. The pawn shop owes you for the reel! Cops will charge him with receiving if he does not give your stuff back and make you happy on the reel.

Check with the Brunswick County Sheriff dept. My neighbor at Holden called this morning to tell me the POS' s had stolen my batteries. Good news is my neighbor said the deputies had arrested 5 lowlifes. He said they had a Ford Explorer full of goodies.
