Current Daily Recreational Atlantic Tunas Retention Limits


Effective December 8,2004 through May 31, 2005 inclusive, the daily recreational retention limit for BLUEFIN TUNA is one large school, or small medium BFT, measuring 47 to less than 73 inches curved fork length (CFL), per vessel per day/trip, plus one large medium or giant BLUEFIN TUNA, measuring 73 inches CFL or larger, per vessel per year. Also efective through May 31, 2005: YELLOWFIN has a minimum size of 27 inches CFL and is three fish per person per day/trip. BIGEYE also has a minimum size of 27 inches CFL, however there is no limit on the number you can keep. For ALBACORE and SKIPJACK, there are no minimum sizes and there are retention limits. These recreational retention limits apply in all areas.
