Final 2006 Measures Set for Mackerel, Squid and Butterfish Fisheries NOAA Fisheries Service has announced final specifications for the 2006 Atlantic mackerel, squid, and butterfish fisheries. Regulations implementing the Fishery Management Plan for the Atlantic Mackerel, Squid, and Butterfish Fisheries (FMP) require NOAA Fisheries Service to annually publish a rule specifying the amounts of the initial optimum yield, allowable biological catch, domestic annual harvest, and domestic annual processing, as well as, where applicable, the amounts for total allowable level of foreign fishing and joint venture processing for the affected species managed under the FMP.
