Foundation Established to Provide Assistance to Gulf Coast Fishing Industry In response to Hurricane Katrina, a fund has been established by the Fish for the Future Foundation, a not-for-profit organization, to collect and dispense funds to assist individuals in the Gulf coast commercial fishing industry and for-hire charter boats in the recreational fishery. A steering committee composed of Gulf State Directors has been established to distribute the funds. Five percent of these funds will go to administrative overhead.
