The Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council has scheduled a webinar meeting of its Standing and Reef Fish Scientific and Statistical Committees (SSC), August 2, 2016. The meeting will begin at 1:00 pm Tuesday, August 2, 2016 and conclude no later than 3:30 pm. To register for the webinar, click here.

Selection of SSC representative to attend the August 2016 Council meeting
Reevaluation of alternative Fmsy proxies for red snapper
Discussion of the next gray triggerfish assessment
Review updated SEDAR schedule

The Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council is one of eight regional Fishery Management Councils established by the Fishery Conservation and Management Act of 1976. The Council prepares fishery management plans, which are designed to manage fishery resources within the 200-mile limit of the Gulf of Mexico.
