NC Marine Fisheries Commission Sea Turtle Bycatch Advisory Committee

Notice is hereby given that the NC Marine Fisheries Commission Sea Turtle Bycatch Advisory Committee will meet on Thursday, September 30, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. The meeting will be held at the North Carolina Department of Environment & Natural Resources (DENR) Washington Regional Office, located at 943 Washington Square Mall, Washington, NC.

The Committee will first review various handouts and newsletters, and reiterate the purpose of the Sea Turtle Advisory Committee. Therese Conant, National Marine Fisheries Service – Office of Protected Resources, Washington, D.C., will give a presentation reviewing the Endangered Species Act (1973), and outlining current and future plans for increased stakeholder involvement in the recovery process.
