Northeast Advisory Committee
The Marine Fisheries Commission (MFC) Northeast Advisory Committee will meet on Thursday, July 19, at 6:30 p.m., in the County Commissioners’ Room, Old Currituck courthouse, Currituck.
The committee will receive updates on the most recent Marine Fisheries Commission business meeting held in Raleigh and on MFC/DMF activities that affect the Northeast District.
The Draft Kingfish (Sea Mullet) Fishery Management Plan and two holdover items from the 2004 Central/Southern Management Area Estuarine Striped Bass Fishery Management Plan will be presented to the committee at this meeting, including management recommendations from the Division of Marine Fisheries and the advisory committees for these plans. The committee will be asked to select preferred management recommendations at this meeting.
