Notice of Planned Buoy Removals

We regret that because of current NOAA budget cuts and probable additional cuts, we will be removing the following three Caro-COOPS ocean buoys during the next scheduled servicing cruise in April.

Station FRP2 – Fripp Nearshore (NDBC No. 41033)
Station CAP3 – Capers Mid-Shelf (NDBC No. 41030)
Station SUN3 – Sunset Mid-Shelf (NDBC No. 41027)

We plan to maintain the nearshore sites off of Capers Island and Sunset Beach and the 3 coastal stations throughout the summer. If you are concerned or inconvenienced by this loss of observations, please contact us as soon as possible at in**@ca********.org
