Public Notice-NC Marine Fisheries Commission Habitat and Water Quality Committee

Notice is hereby given that the NC Marine Fisheries Commission Habitat and Water Quality Committee will meet on Monday, January 10, 2004, at 2:00 p.m. at the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Washington Regional Office located at 943 Washington Square Mall in Washington, NC.

The Subcommittee has two permit elevations to discuss, Follendorf (Pamlico County) and Shine Landing Marina (Pamlico County). The Subcommittee will also receive updates on several projects.

The Committee will discuss workshops planned for development of a MFC Compensatory Mitigation Policy.

The Committee, will also receive a presentation on the Division of Coastal Management (DCM) express permitting programs by David Moye.

The Committee will get an update on the Coastal Habitat Protection Plan (CHPP), and will discuss the MFC priority for the CHPP, strategic habitat. The MFC approved the CHPP at their December 2004 meeting.
