Wreckage of an Air Station Kodiak Rescue Helicopter ANCHORAGE, Alaska (Dec. 8, 2004) The wreckage of an Air Station Kodiak rescue helicopter is washed ashore near Skan Bay, Alaska after crashing today during a rescue attempt which involved the 738-foot vessel Selendang Ayu near Unalaska Island. All Coast Guard crewmembers aboard the aircraft were rescued by another Coast Guard rescue helicopter.
