Resisted all these years(never shot a compound bow in my life). Muzzleloaders always suited me fine, and occasionally broke out my .270, until a few weeks ago when a guy in our club said,"want to shoot my crossbow"? Well, it was on! It's the bottom of the line Barnett Jackal, but I fell in love. Question time...any of ya'll with crossbow experience have any broadhead recommendations? Heard pros and cons on mechanicals...kinda leaning away from them. I'll be using 20" bolts. Any advice is appreciated.

I'll have to be honest with ya... I've got the exact same setup I shoot the rage 3 blade broadheads they're expensive 40 bucks I believe or somewhere thereabouts you will not track anything very far at all and there is no doubt about where a blood trail is.

Thanks guys. Are there different weights? Seems like 150gr. sticks in my head, or is that just standard? Pucker, you have the Jackal? Pros...cons? Guy in club just mainly target shoots with his. I just can't see popping for a high dollar one when that one shoots sooo good. Thanks again for the help!

100 grain two blade rage!! They are a little pricey butmost of the time you cantake abroad head sharpener to the blades and they are as good as new. Unlike the thecheap 15-20dollar broadheads shoot onedeer and the blades are bent al up. But if you find my favorite broadhead it is a deadhead reaper three blades and it makes a massive hole but they a cheap as i said shoot once throw away

Yes hundred grain rage 3 blade. The only thing that I've noticed is mine is loud. But you can drive tacks with it. Make sure you keep your strings waxed after about every 5 or ten shots. Overall u cant beat it for the price.

Rage two blade is all I shoot and unless i have something bad happen that will be all I ever shoot!!! I have a buck commander crossbow by barnett and it's bad a**. When I shoot the deer I get down and go find it no waiting!!! Even on fairly bad shots they don't go any where. Just my though!
