Killed this 9 point right at day light this morning. I wasnt in the stand 10 minutes and he came out chasing a doe. I thought they were done rutting but looks as if I was wrong. One of his eyes was poked out from where he had been fighting.

I shot him in the shoulder first and he ran ab 30 yards and stood there. Once he stopped I shot him in the neck and he dropped. Might have been a little excessive but I wanted to make sure he went down.
Not excessive at all. I have seen one too many deer run off wounded after the first shot. Great job.
