I AM NOT A BIG FAN OF THE POP UP GROUND BLIND....I GUESS I FEEL "RESTRICTED" WITH LOW HEIGHT ETC....I HAVE A COUPLE....BUT I NEED MORE ROOM AND I STILL STRUGGLE WITH FOLDING MINE BACK UP LOL
I DON'T KNOW WHY I JUST LATELY THOUGHT OF IT BUT I HAVE BUILT THE COOLEST GROUND BLIND....USING BAILED PINE NEEDLES AND HAY STRAW...THE THING LOOKS LIKE AN SQUARE "IGLOO" WITH SHOOTING WINDOWS...PLENTY OF NATURAL COVERUP SMELL FROM IT TOO......I EVEN HAVE A PLYWOOD ROOF ON IT AND 4 PEOPLE CAN GET IN IT...I'M NOT SURE WHAT THE "SHELF LIFE" WILL BE BUT TIME WILL TELL.
ADD SOME BRUSH AND LIMBS AROUND IT TO BREAK THE SQUARE SILOHETTE OF IT ....
Good idea there Box. In open farmland we have arranged the big round hay bales into a blind close to where the critters are coming into the fields - works like a charm
Deer also get used to farm equipment sitting around the fields - I have shot several while sitting on a big green tractor.
i didnt even think of the farm equipment. i guess it makes perfect sense.
we sit on log skidders when they leave them in good spots they work great too. with permission of course.
