Look-up Doug Rhodes in the Smithfield area (probably re-building Holt Lake BBQ right now if you want to find him in person). One of my trim carpenters is related to Doug and we were talking about hogs just the other day. Doug lets people pay to hunt his land but b/c he lives on Devil's Racetrack he knows everybody back down towards the Low Grounds. If he can't point you toward some hog land in Johnston then there probably isn't any or at least none worth hunting. Maybe try Kevin Barefoot who runs the country store at the corner of Stewart Rd. and HWY. 701. He should be listed in the phone book in Smithfield or Four Oaks. I would try Doug first. Toby Lee would be another one but unlikely to deal with if he doesn't know you.

hi..
Though I still score for MASTC, I haven't hunted deer seriously in Maine for a few years now. The secret with duck hunting- from here on out in the season- is being willing to travel. I travel a lot for waterfowl from September to the end anyway, but things definitely dry up in the Lincoln area at the end of October each year.
