Almaco jack or small amber jack. Can't really see the top fin.

Think he said it had a long top fin

An amber jack has a shorter fin on top, the almaco has a longer fin.

It looks like an almaco. The meat without worms is very good. Those albacore make delicious fish salad and tacos when FRESH and prepared properly.

The best way to eat a false albacore is to grill it on a wood plank until the wood is nicely charred to get the smoke going on the meat. Remove from the grill, throw the fish away, and eat the wood.
