First off let me say this I LOVE to fish!
Looking for anyone who has some experince and doesn't mind passing down their knowledge to a new boat angler. I have a 18 ft trophy walkaround. A mix of rods reels and tackle to cover anything this little boat can handle. The thing is I have no clue what I am doing. I do know how to fish from shore just not from a boat. I need someone to teach me the area, what to look for and how to troll...ect. The only place I have been to is the jetty at cape lookout. Gas and everything else is on me. I just want to learn.

Lets go catch some Fish!

Well you came to the right site they're alot of helpful people on here and im sure someone will chime... I wish I could be of more help but I haven't fished out of mhc since I was a kid but I do remember it to be.some of the best fishing I've ever experienced. Hireing. A local guide for the.day would be a good ideal and would help you out alot.... Good luck and be safe!

Thanks for the advice howell. I should have said swansboro too, they are both the same distance from my house. Either one works for me.

Hey Herc55, I fish out of Bogue and New river inlet and would be glad to go with you and show you what I know about the inlets, the ocean and what's biting and how to catch them. I fish mainly during the week, Monday thru Thursday. I have all the equiptment we need. The bonito, blue fish and some spanish are just out of New River inlet right now but this week the wind is up everyday. Maybe we can catch a nice day next week and go try them. I'll help you with the gas. You need a gps for sure. You can call me at 910-389-5251 My name is David
