I think that my wife and I are going to head to Savannah on our anniversary (Nov 1) without a boat in tow. That will give us a few days to check out the area, see some sights and just get a lay of the land. I can always rent a boat for 4 hours and tool around the area if we want.

But...

When I got this saltwater bug, I mentioned to my son about the 2 of us taking a long weekend trip to the coast. Since his longtime friend lives in Wilmington, we might head down Mid November for a few days and stay in the Carolina Beach area. I found an inexpensive place to stay within a mile of a boat launch (Snow's Cut). Close to the Cape Fear River as well as not too far from in shore water if the weather is behaving for us.

I'll post more when I finalize the details.
