I will be heading down in a couple minutes to check on mine Hate a thief.
Saw that on the news website! Hate a thief. Glad my boat is 2nd row locked inside the marina building in OIB. Good luck guys and I hope they catch the thief,,, or better yet hope he is caught by a boat owner taking his unit. '
Watch Ebay and Craigslist. Pawn shops know the stolen stuff does not come with power cords but possibly not a 'ducer, probably someone looking for a fix!
A bunch of boats got hit at Bradley Creek a couple weeks ago too. A friend had speakers, Yeti cooler, lines, etc. stolen off his boat in dry stack. Another guy told me his GPS was taken. Common denominator was that they were all lowest level, dry stack. Seems like there is a crew with a plan.
For once I'm glad mine was at the shop, I'm on a lower level slip
I guess these places do not have Video Surveillance? For what they charge there should be if not!!
Hopefully folks won't leave valuables on their boats from now on.
Drum-
I have had friends who have had flushmount electronics taken. Not too easy to take them off after each outing.
Understand. Maybe surveillance cams will be next?
They have cameras. Not sure the lighting by the dry stacks is sufficient. I know they were installing some lights last time I was down there. Although I don't think cameras or lights are going to stop these thieves. Inlet watch's best security is there neighborhood watch. Almost always see a neighbor out walking the dog or exercising.
