IF YOU DO wire it up, make sure you post signs to the effect of "parts of this boat may be electrically charged". Buddy of mine wired up the duct work runnning in to his bar. Authorities went nuts until he put signs up...then wished him luck!

That just sucks, some LOW LIFE stole your 80w's. Were the rods left outside in the cockpit or did they actually break into your boat? Capt Rick what are you going to do this bluefin season if your rods and reels aren't found before the end of the season?

That's brutal, hate that happened to you. Good luck recovering your stuff, sounds like it should be pretty easy to identify, especially the Tica's, not your everyday combos.

How are these guys getting away with this? Are they coming to the boat by water or what? Seems like somebody would see this happening???

Once again, hate it for you Capt.

I'd get a big mean dog and leave em right inside the door.. Man what a bunch of lowlifes.. I wish someone could catch them red handed. Why is it that they are only targeting his boat. At this point that seems a little odd.

Man, in this economy, with mates and Capt(s) looking for work, it amzes me that someone who should be thankful they are employed would steal from Boss. A@% Whipping in my book,

I can take a lot of things, but that might be too much...

My boat was at the waterfront and cops caught two kids that came up on a Riddick Bay Rider in my boat, and let them go! The cops tried calling my cell phone but it was downstairs on the charger and I didnt hear it, so they just let them go and put a note on my front door to call them. Nothing was done and one of them still helps out down at some of the boats towards Jacks. People are letting these thieves on the boats.
I just put a new dead bolt on my boat and a security camera is going up next week. I remember growing up and leaving everything out the night before and the boat unlocked, different times I guess. I just dont understand blowing something like this off and letting these kids continue to work on a boat after they know about something like this. I dont want to hear them wining when it happens to them.

I know what you mean about there not being any justice. I purchased a boat from a fellow that ended up being a stolen boat. The fellow I bought it from was arrested and charged with 2 felonies. He pled guilty to the 2 charges and was given 10 -12 months on each charge, suspended and 3 yrs supervised probation and ordered to pay a percentage restitution to me. Well, he violated his supervised probation and is now an absconder from the law. So basically the guy has gotten a slap on the wrist.
