My buddy keeps his boat there, a new 30' CC.

The front gate has been broken for a month now and left wide open.

Last week, his boat along with what I here was 9 others were stripped of all electronics! They clearly were pros as the hit all of the boats in an evening. Cut his custom top and peeled it back like a can of sardines and stripped the boat.

He had Simrad 12" Evo 3 and Simrad 16" Evo 2 along with ACR 2826 epirb, ACR 2828 handheld, Garmin IReach Explorer+, Simrad AP44M-VRF, Etc.

They cut all of the cables for his 1k transducers, radar, AP, etc. To say he is pissed is a huge understatement.

The owners of Big Boy Toy have not addressed the electronic gate repair after repeated request from the owners. The sad part is, it is still not fixed and still left open since this happened about 2 weeks ago!! The gate should have been fixed, these guys won't be out TONS of money and lost way points!

Police have a dozen + cases from Big Boy Toy Storage now.

I suspect 17-18 guys could fund a significant law suit for negligence ... :chin:

Already in the works from what I hear. One of the guys is an attorney and he has 4 or 5 of the slips in there so he is motivated I am sure.

Can't really blame them.

pretty poor of anybody in the storage business that accepts the responsibility of taking in possessions and is to CHEAP to provide a basic service such as some type of surveillance to at least make an effort to protect their clients property, makes you wonder if they are part of the problem,

I corrected the boat count after hearing the police case update this evening. Apparently it was 9 boats. Originally someone must have stated 17 in an estimate.

They stripped all of the boats in 1 hour.

They don't have a vehicle on film driving in or out.

None of the "surveillance system" has any footage of the actual boat thefts. So their cameras aren't pointing at boats in the expensive covered stalls now?

How are people asking and paying between $ 15,000 to $ 30,000 per stall and it doesn't even have proper video coverage? WTF

NONE of the other storage facilities here in the BRUNSWICK area were hit other than BBTS. Surely it can't be because of the open gate welcome sign could it?!

Something just don't add up here. The perps knew exactly where to hit. Somebody did a lot of homework. Cameras are cheap these days no reason to not have this place covered.

A buddy of mine suspected something shady going on there with signs of tinkering around his boat months leading up to it. He pulled his boat out of there literally 1 week before they all got hit! Hate a thief!
