I don't think that's the case. I don't think you'd want to eat them, but I don't believe any of them are illegal to possess.
In South Carolina possession is illegal. We had a virus come through and wiped out the population.

This is the Gulf Coast Subforum, not the Carolinas. Probably a good idea to realize what section of the site you are on before making a jerk comment.
Dave attempted to make this a US wide site sometime ago. It hasn't been super effective because now none of the sub forums get as much activity as they used to before the switch.

Wow... click bait? I made a video about fishing for and eating catfish, posted it to a forum specifically for the Gulf Coast (where I was fishing) and titled it Catfish Catch and Cook.
