I have a chip with a bunch of Simrad GPS waypoints that I want to convert to a file extension that can be read on a Garmin handheld. Do any of you guys have have tips on software to do this and which Garmin file extension is best to use?

GPSU is the Software....
GPX is the file format you want to use.

If you still have the Simrad unit. Back them up to GPX files and they will work with Garmin.
I recently converted all mine this same method.
