This is circulating on fb, not sure if anything will come of it but figured I'd share it here. I am not looking for a debate of whether more gun control equals more crime. I do believe you and I need to do whatever it takes to protect our right to bear arms.

Update from Eric who is organizing this event.. your help would be appreciated....

Hello patriots, it's Eric from "Gun Control = More Crime" again. "Guns Across America" is going to take place Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013 at "high noon." This is going to be a peaceful picketing protest against ANY, AND ALL future gun legislation. This is our chance to reach out to our elected officials, and tell them NO NEW GUN LAWS! "Guns Across America" is being tailored to happen in every states capital city, at their capital building. The theory behind doing this event on a Saturday, is most conservative gun owners work a typical Monday through Friday job. I'm hoping for a massive response by doing this on a weekend.
Now for the tricky part. I'm going to need one volunteer, to organize each capital city. I'll be taking care of Texas (Austin), and I have Oklahoma, NH, NJ, and Montana filled. That means I have 45 states left to go. If you're interested in volunteering to organize your capital cities event, please email me at Ericreed22@gmail.com. I'll be discussing important issues with each states volunteer. This includes making sure all your state laws are obeyed, publicity, media exposure, etc.
This is going to be a great success with your help. All you need to do is show up, and make your voice heard. If you're state has legalized open carry / concealed carry, and you're legal to do so, I encourage it. However, please make sure we're all in compliance with state laws, as this event will be a reflection on all gun owners across America. All details and updates will occur on the page, "Gun Control = More Crime." I look forward to making this a huge success, so please share this update to your pages.

Which is why people should be voicing there opinions to there reps if they're not already. I don't know what "firearms reform" they are thinking they will get passed, but whatever it is needs to be met with strong resistance. We all know all they're doing is playing off the emotion of what happened in Connecticut, which is why they need to "get this done now". There is only one reason to take guns away from law abiding citizens, to control them. This has nothing to do with safety and not one person out there is going to convince me that it does. No amount of gun laws or restrictions are going to stop violent crime in this country and if you really believe that it will then stay in your little fantasy world and let realistic people deal with the real world.

I would like to bring to everyones attention H.R. 65: To prevent children’s access to firearms.

Representative Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) proposed HR 65 which would raise the eligibility age of a person to carry a handgun from 18 to 21.

To prevent CHILDRENS access to firearms....Children's??? Really??? OK to die for your country at 18 but not old enough to own a handgun. I'm sorry, some of these are just stupid.

John, doing what you do you know more about current gun laws then I do obviously, but I thought you could buy ammo online in NC which is what this bill is going to put a stop to (H.R.142 Latest Title: To require face to face purchases of ammunition, to require licensing of ammunition dealers, and to require reporting regarding bulk purchases of ammunition) and magazines holding more then 10 rounds are still being sold which is what this bill would put an end to ( H.R. 138: To prohibit the transfer or possession of large capacity ammunition feeding devices, and for other purposes) and neither one is going to prevent any violence what so ever. I'm afraid this is only the beginning either way, but we'll see.

Thanks for sharing this info fishfindertoo. Does anyone know of a bill defending our right to keep and bear arms we can ask our members of congress to support?

It seems like our rulers have many hidden agendas that they wait for the right time to advance. Rom Emanuel said "never let a good crisis go to waste". They also seem to hold information like the Petraeus affair until it is needed to divert attention from something even more scandalous.

Good point Fishfindertoo! Don't all public servants swear an oath to uphold and defend our Constitution from enemies, foreign and domestic? Don't violations of that oath constitute an act of treason and make the violaters domestic enemies of our freedom and Constitutional Rights?

As far as I know. But when is the last time one of our government officals were held accountable for anything they did or didn't do?

It seems like there should be a few honorable lawyers willing to take on this kind of case. Maybe a class action lawsuit where citizens across America could bring charges against public servants who have blatently violated their oath of office? The problem is that the government lawyers would see to it that the government judges who would find in their favor get the cases. The ENTIRE system is corrupt! We need to push for a third party in the mid-term elections. The establishment parties and their bureaucratic minions cannot be trusted. It would only take about 50 third party Congressmen in the House to stop both parties from advancing their evil schemes.
