Hello this is Mark DeNunzio the owner of Unlimited Boat Service. We are the shop that RECOVERED one of the Yamaha 250 outboard that was stolen with the Donzi 29ZF in Smithfield, NC (see post, Stolen donzi 29zf).
Amazing turn of events; 3 Boats, 3 Shops, 3 County’s
A couple of weeks ago one of our out of town customers came in with his freshly repowered Proline that was rigged at a large shop in Lumberton, NC. He was bragging about the great deal he got but was unhappy with the month they took to get his boat back and it still needed work. He wanted the network and fuel gauge working, change the duel control for a single rebuild the dash panel and install a used stereo.
Less than a week before the 4th of July one of our out of town customer brought in his skiff for a quick service. He is the owner of the stolen donzi, so I squeezed him in.
The two boats were parked in the middle of our packed yard back to back, about 10 feet apart. The Donzi owner and son came in early the next morning to do some upgrades to skiff. We talked as I finished up the service. I told them what a deal the Proline owner got for his repower. Little did we know that that was the motor from the donzi.
In our office, on the counter was the used stereo for the Proline. The son recognized the wiring colors and asked what boat it came from. So we checked the outboard serial number on the Proline and it matched the stolen motor.
After the police report, on Saturday I worked all night derigged the Proline so they would have everything when they went back home after the 4th. On Monday I helped load everything in their truck and thought everything was great.
You would think there would be a happy ending to this, sadly no. The Donzi owner loses his huge insurance check, accuses me of stealing his motor and then steals from me by refusing to pay his bill. The Proline owner loses everything he paid for and his original running motor. I get cheated yelled at and my shop gets trashed for no good reason.
Thanks for reading

Sounds like a lot of people loosing out here. Good thing is that it should be able to follow back where everything come from. I think you should be mad at the thief that started all this by stealing. Not sure why you needed to take the motor off the boat for him. If it would have been me I would have told the police to hook to all that crap and get it off my property and washed my hands of it. I hope the police are working to track everything down.

golmar (Mark) has done a lot of work for me.
My understanding is.....The Motors were stolen from Dealer A. They were sold and installed by Dealer B.
After they were sold....They were brought to Mark to have some work done and that is where s*&t hit the fan.
I will now lock this thread and ANY other thread about this....
