I know this isn’t really the place for this but maybe it will help a friend in the future
Ocean stinger fishing charter out of Wrightsville beach
If you’ve heard of this charter “business” steer clear of it in the future. I made a reservation for the beginning of October and paid 650 of the trip up front because the captain Jesse Gawlik assured me that all monies were refundable if cancelled due to weather. The trip was booked for a Saturday, well the whole week the forecast was crap...NOAA/fish weather showing Saturday 6-9 ft blowing 15-25kt all week. Don’t get me wrong I don’t do this for a living and I have little experience but 6-9 on a 40ft boat seems rough...Anyways Thursday night rolls around and it’s showing 10-17 ft for Saturday with a small craft advisory in effect, mind you I’ve been calling and texting the captain all week with no response(should have been my first clue) anyways I text him I want my money back because I’m not booking a room and showing up with the weather the way it was...he instantly calls me claiming we are still going and if I don’t show up I forfeit all money. So basically he wanted me to be the one to cancel to keep my money. After an hour long back and forth his wife (first mate) got on the phone and claimed they run a clean business and would refund me the money in 7 business days..well that never happened and they have removed me from all social media and blocked me so I can’t contact them.. Never recommend them to anyone!! All I want to do is try and catch some Wahoo before I report to highway patrol school in February. Can anyone suggest a reputable charter? I’m open to about anywhere in North Carolina.

Dave on the Wild Rover, Rick Croson if he has any availability, any of the MHC waterfront boats, Wally with Oak Island charters, any of the OIFC guys in Ocean Isle.
Never trust a charter that proudly shows off false albacore.

If you want to catch wahoo, my first call would be to Sensation in Morehead City. They have been hammering them lately.
