We had planned on going out of Southport for near shore on Tuesday but quickly changed our minds after seeing the white caps in the harbor. Water temps are getting up there though should see the bite get better!

That's a good time to look if the wind plays nice for you.

Tried for the past 4 days out of Southport. Mother Nature was not good to the 25 foot Grady. High winds and rough water. Really had a hard time. Only boat out there too. I will try again in another week or so. Really getting tired of the wind , current and conditions the past year out of the Capefear area. Maybe this year will be better??

I was in the mouth of the cape fear today. Windy, but managed 15 very nice whiting. Seas should be better tomorrow. Saw birds hitting the water just offshore. But I stayed put. I'll let you know if spNish are in if I cAn get out tomorrow.
