It's a tragedy ... will be much loss of life and devastation revealed in coming days ... I was in Wilmington as a young lad in 54 when Hazel hit as a cat 4 ... water from Cape Fear was about 4' up to our place in Wilmington a mile from the river ... 5 days later Dad and I got to ICW bridge(closed) at Wrightsville Beach where Baby Hospital and Faircloths used to be ... looked across and nothing left standing on island ...
