I am upgrading to an offshore boat and am looking for a set of outriggers for a 25 foot boat in excellent or like new condition. I would also love to find some smaller electric reels and good non electric set ups for grouper fishing. Need some trolling gear too. Rods, reels, tackle.

If you get what you need from the guys who posted ahead of me great. If not, I have five Penn 4/0 combos that I would consider selling. Four of them are the red 113h and one is the standard black 4/0. Price TBD - send a PM if interested.

I am a huge grouper fan, but have not made the jump to electric. The electra mates and krystals seem bulky, is there an advantage to these over a daiwa tanacom? I like the small size and features of the daiwa, but most serious anglers prefer the more commercial models. Is there any reasoning to this?

The Kagen Bannix 1000 is a far superior reel than the tanacom $599. Bigger gears stronger motor and larger drag surface. My brother's 2 have seen 18-20K#'s of codfish, pollack and haddock. They have also done umbrella rigs with 4-5 12# bluefish all day for the last 2 seasons( bought Jan 15') The tanacom will not do the same which is why I sold it. I have 2 older reel quicks and 2 precision's all with 6/0 penn's 100# braid. The reel quicks have 15yrs of commercial fishing and the precision's have proven to be very very good as well. Neither have the auto stop auto jig or other features of the Kagen or Diawa but work tirelessly for my application of commercial multi-species adn comercial bass n bluefishing. Of which i sell 20-30K #'s a year

I had not heard of the Kaigen brand before. Looks like a good product. It sounds like folks prefer the "low profile style for non-commercial applications, and from the lack of their availability on the used market, it seems like folks hold on to them. Thanks for the insight Capt_Rich, Kenner1 and Fernie. If anybody has this style of electric reel available let me know.
