Greetings All,

I hope you like the NEW site. I still have a couple bugs running around.

I know the Buoy Reports on the top of screen are not updating. I will fix that tonight or tomorrow.

Overall everything seems to be working.

If you hit something that does NOT work as expected PLEASE post it in this thread!

Oh ya......TRY THE SITE ON YOUR PHONES!!! It works!

Dave

Hey Capt Dave
Site looks great. One thing I noticed is in the New Posts Forum you still have to open the posts in a new tab or else you lose all the new posts that show up. Also, I was wondering if you still have to resize photos before uploading?

Turned sideways on what kind of phone?

I will have to tackle the other later. That will be pretty involved.

It has been replaced by SEECast.

Thanks, Dave! I know it's been a long day, thought you might get a chuckle from the THT Carolinas forum:

" Iím pissed. Why not include a link to the ďoldĒ format. We are just hitting trolling season and some nerd with thick glasses decides heís got a better way to do it. Why not change it in, say, November? It totally sucks, imo. Iím missing marked reefs here in SC. Maybe Iíll try the app. Good luck, Dave. You had a good thing going."[i]

On the Left hand side of the SEECast map is a bullseye. Click on the Bullseye and you can turn on whatever waypoints you like.

SO I am " some nerd with thick glasses" huh?

That's funny s*&t!

Dave

PS....
If he is talking about inside ReefCast....all he has to do is let me know what category of waypoints he would like to have listed and I can turn them on.

Here is WHY.....There is a new format for ReefCast!

You can turn on and turn off ANY layer you like and you cna mouse or finger over the data points and it will read the value for you.

A lot of people over the years struggled with reading ReefCast. Once you add in the 2nd wave data it became really hard.

This solved all of that.

I am not overlly fond of the time format myself. But based on the time I had to work on it I did the best I can for now. I am sure I will revisit it soon enough.

I am also though about having a 3-Day and 5 -Day and 7-Day button to unclutter it even more.

Dave

Sorry to call you a "nerd with thick glasses" I've just spent an hour trying to decipher the new format. Definitely not a fan. So glad the NC fanbase is happy with it. Y'all have fun with this one. It ain't for me anymore.

The app is still on the old version and I have no plans to change it anytime soon. So you can have it either way.

No one likes change. But it is does drive innovation. I do the best I can with what Iíve got.

Dave

PS....
I am fishing in the morning so Iím going to call it a night.

I will be back tomorrow afternoon If Anya needs some help

Something is up with the APP version. It is not connecting to the database for some reason.

As part of the change we did not touch the database at all on purpose.

We did force the connections to the site to be vie https vs http for security reasons.

I will find it and fix it ASAP!

Still not able to open SEEcast says my subscription is expired for SEECast but good for Seaview. Any ideas ? Also still not able to get reefcast to work thinking the problem lies in both.
Jason

ReefCast should only work inside the map.

I show your SeaView subscription as active and you should see 2 buttons. One for Bluewater Supermap and One for SeeCast.

If this is not what youa re seeing....Call me at 910-264-3973

Hi Dave,

It is not working for me. It says my subscription is expired when I try SEECast. When I click on the Bluewater Supermaps tab, I go to the map, but can not open any of the tabs at the top of the map. It just shows the opening page of the old one.

Thanks.

Guys the APP will not login.

I have whole team of people working on it and I cna assure you will will get it back running ASAP!

The messed up part is that is the only part of this site we did not do anything too. We think it is in the server configuration between all the sub-domains that run everything.

We are ON it!

Hi Dave,
I'm sorry some folks have decided to bash you and the changes you've made. I know you work very hard on your baby and are always striving for improvement. Thanks for all you do!
I am having a couple issues: 1) When I click a buoy to make it my default buoy for see conditions, nothing happens. 2) I have an active SeaView membership. When I click the link saying important message for Seaview subscribers, I get an error message, not the important message 3) It says I don't have a SeeCast membership. Is that a separate membership from Seaview?
Thanks for your time in answering my questions
