Looking like Florida will get the worst of it right now.

In the past I've relied on Windy and Wavecast for the most accurate models. Right now its too far out to know but it bears watching.

Windy now has it running right up the coast and smacking NC next Thursday/Friday. We shall see.

Was supposed to head to Marathon for a week tomorrow. Not going. Not because I think it will hit there, but lack of gas, electricity, and available groceries. Will go to Harkers Island and stay until it starts getting bad there if it does.

Looked at Windy again this PM and man do I hope that long term track is wrong. If itís right, next Wed/Thursday here in ENC could be ugly.

Yeah, I think the next week will be crappy... but man, I'm holding out for the first good spell of good water after this is all gone!

I have a real bad feeling this thing is gonna loop back out after FL and wallop our asses here in NC though. Time will tell.

Yes, the Windy.com models do show increased activity late next week, but we are not talking anything close to hurricane force winds. Also, remember that is a week away. A lot can change in that amount of time.

Just my $.02

Just so ya know. Windy is nothing more than a graphic of the EURO Model run, nothing more, nothing special.

Didnít know that. See what kind of gems you can glean from SWC!

Thanks John.

The model looks like it was dead on the track before the other models started to adjust.

Windy (Euro) nailed Florence long before any other models or forecasts did.

The Euro models seem to be more accurate than others most times.

If it is indeed close, the the entire Southeast coastal areas are gonna take a lot of water and a pretty big wallop.

If this storm does jog outside (east) of the coastline it will most likely regain strength....aaaarrrrgggggghhhh!

This retirement living in the shadows of the Cape Lookout light house is some times a bit antsy...lol. In 10 years the eye of 3 Tropical storms and 2 hurricanes have passed over my house, plus Florence made its presence known. The wife and I skedaddled for two of the storms.

There are many folks here Downeast who have not recovered as yet.

Just took another look at Windy.

Now it is not showing a Florida or Ga or SC landfall, and is going to get hairy around Cape Lookout after hugging the coastline.

Rustyone, you still got the house in the Asheboro area, if so, I need a room for two for a few days....lol!

I have also noticed that the Euro model is one of the better predictors for winter precipitation.
